I had the great opportunity of leading the creative direction for this new revenue-generating program, which accounts for a large portion of Six Flags’ earnings. It was such a privilege and honor to be a part of a great marketing team of whom I collaborated with to create the membership program’s branding, member cards, in-park signage and other merchandise.
Member card Designs: where the campaign started
The cards were designed to be a status symbol within the park, prompting non-members to notice the exclusive benefits members enjoy. Their sleek, shiny, and high-quality appearance makes them stand out when used at kiosks or flashed for exclusive perks, driving other visitors to upgrade to membership.
These card designs also offer an elevated experience, making the members feel special and setting the membership program apart from standard admissions.
Membership Logo Design: Crafting a Symbol of Exclusivity and Adventure
The Six Flags Membership logo was designed to embody the excitement, exclusivity, and prestige of the membership program, while aligning seamlessly with the park’s vibrant brand identity.
The logo needed to reflect both the adventurous spirit of Six Flags and the elevated status of being a member. I aimed to create a balance between playful and premium elements, capturing the essence of the park while distinguishing membership as a tier above regular admission.
Member Brochure Design
Designing a membership brochure for Six Flags should be vibrant, engaging, and reflective of the thrilling experiences the amusement park offers. The goal was to capture the exclusivity and value of the membership program, while providing clear, appealing visuals and information that compel members to take advantage of all of the benefits afforded to them.
Membership tier signage
The member cards features colors such as old gold, platinum and metallic blacks, but for general membership signage, I chose to use bright colors. The official Membership brand colors include a golden yellow and a rich red as a secondary color. My challenge was to find colors that would pop in the midst of so many other in-park decor and communications. The Membership signs, like this dining sign, really gets the customers’ attention because the golden yellow is highly legible on a clear day and even when the sun goes down.
Member dining campaign
Each level of membership offers a long list of exclusive benefits. One of the most popular benefits is the huge savings on dining. I’ve designed large banners and poster that are strategically placed throughout the park, reminding members of their benefits and more importantly, persuading non-members to becoming a member. For these signs, I’ve color-corrected, sharpened and placed hi-resolution images of Six Flags’s most delicious food options.
Membership Swag
Members stand out in the crowd with their flashy cards. They stand out even more with Membership merchandise. The t-shirts showcase the official Six Flags Membership logo in vector form. The vector logo looks great on apparel and just as wonderful on other merchandise such as plastic and aluminum souvenir cups.
Six Flags Membership Entry
Not only was I privileged to design the cards, apparel and other merchandise, but I also created the design for the fabricated entrance designated for members in the front of select Six Flags parks.
Member Email Design: Driving Engagement & retention
For the Six Flags Membership email design, the goal was to create visually appealing and engaging emails that encouraged membership sign-ups and engagement with exclusive perks.
